ABOUT PIEDMONT SMILES

Piedmont Smiles

Piedmont Smiles celebrated its fourth annual free community dental day on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Liberty High School in Bealeton, Virginia.

For the past four years, this one-day, pop-up event has provided free dental care to residents of Fauquier County, Rappahannock County, and surrounding areas—offering compassionate, high-quality services to those who need it most.

This year’s event once again brought together hundreds of volunteers and dental professionals to provide health screenings, cleanings, fillings, and extractions—all at no cost to patients.

Piedmont Smiles is proudly organized by the Fauquier Free Clinic, with vital support from the Virginia Dental Association Foundation and a wide network of community partners and local businesses. Together, we continue to make every smile possible.

ABOUT MISSION OF MERCY

Mission of Mercy

Mission of Mercy (MOM) is a Virginia Dental Association Foundation (VDAF) program that provides free dental care to underserved areas of the state where there are not enough dental practitioners to adequately address the oral health needs of the community.

Dr. Terry Dickinson, former executive director of the Virginia Dental Association, created the MOM program in 2000 to provide high-quality care to underserved Virginians. The MOM program operates mobile clinics in strategic locations across the state, providing preventive, restorative and surgical dental treatments to more than 2,000 low-income individuals each year.
